Borrowed from the wonderful coderetreat, this is the ultimate disruptive card. Having built something, delete it, and build it again.
For small projects try making three or four passes at this card. Each time deleting all code and starting again.
This card works equally well for concepts, wireframes, sketches, prototypes and style guides - work them up, delete them, and work them up again. By following the path again you'll notice new things.
Constraints is a project to help me explore the ways in which web designers get better at what they do.
I'd love to hear how you get on with Constraints cards.
Join the Constraints Cards mailing list to hear about new cards, new posts, offer codes and that kind of stuff. Never spammy, never sharing your email address with anyone, easy to unsubscribe. As you'd expect.
Constraints is released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA licence, so you are free to share, remix and adapt Constraints.
Constraints started life as a kickstarter project and 663 lovely people liked the idea enough to back the project. See all the charming and talented backers here, you might even see a few folk you know.
